Orchestrated learning: creating a company-specific production system (XPS)

Purpose Companies create company-specific production systems (XPS) by tailoring generic concepts to fit their unique situation. However, little is known about how an XPS is created. This paper aims to provide insights into the creation of an XPS. Design/methodology/approach A retrospective case study was conducted in a Norwegian multinational company over the period 1991–2006, using archival data and interviews. Findings The development of the XPS did not start with a master plan. Instead, dispersed existing initiatives were built upon, along with an external search for novel ideas. New national and regional Annex I Habitat records: From #26 to #36

New Italian data on the distribution of the Annex I Habitats 1510*, 2130*, 2250*, 3180*, 3260, 5230*, 6410, 7140, 7220*, 9320 are reported in this contribution. Specifically, 14 new occurrences in Natura 2000 sites are presented and 20 new cells are added in the EEA 10 km × 10 km reference grid. The new data refer to the Italian administrative regions of Abruzzo, Apulia, Friuli Venezia Giulia, Liguria, Marche, Molise, Sardinia, Sicily, Tuscany and Umbria.

The essay focuses on the discipline of the work done by one partner in the company of the other in cross-border couples and on the problems involved in this case. More specifically the focus is on the hermeneutical problems that arise both at the level of European legislation and at the level of Italian national discipline which is applicable according to European conflict criteria, showing the ambiguities and wide areas of shadow left uncovered by the latter.

Our sample consists of 46 Indonesian stock listed companies, and we use data from recently expanded rules on disclosure to analyze the level and structure of compensation for the CEO - domestically known as the president director.
